Sample Management - Synopsis

Over recent years the science of sample management has changed significantly. To assume that large scale sample management only applies to chemicals is to underestimate the impact of new areas of research such as biopharmaceuticals and the industry that has established around biological sample management.

This session will focus on areas of interest to those involved in biological sample management. Topics that will be covered include; approaches to sample collection and management within the Biobanking industry; Technologies and Informatics that support sample storage and library curation; novel areas of biological sample management such as stem cell banking and IVF sample management. In addition to presentations from leading experts in the field there will be snap shot presentations from vendors and suppliers to the biological sample management industry.
