Enzyme Drug Discovery - Synopsis
As a broad target group, enzymes have been the most successful in yielding new drugs. However, there remain enzyme classes where drug discovery is unprecedented. This session will explore the current status of enzyme targets in drug discovery in two ways. We will review new approaches from industry and academia to a. investigate some of the emerging enzyme families and disease linked enzyme pathways and b. tackle currently intractable enzyme targets and pathways.
