Cellular Imaging Technologies - Synopsis
The last decade has seen a revolution in imaging with the rapid development of automated fluorescence microscopy (High Content Analysis: HCA). The conversion of fluorescence microscope images to numerical data using computer algorithms means we now possess an assay technology that is high throughput and information rich. However, dealing with the amount of data returned from HCA experiments can be challenging and so this session will also focus on the natural linkup of HCA with another new discipline, Systems Biology.
