The application of robotics and automation in drug discovery has evolved from a components based approach to solutions focused on rapid results and demonstrable return on investment. This session will focus on emerging technologies in fields such as microfluidics, imaging, biosensors, and informatics which enable fast track to discovery and commercialization. Business aspects of automation including the impact of health and safety regulatory compliance on provider viability and technological innovation will be addressed.
