The instrument is amazingly compact (only 20 cm wide) and includes a unique optical filter wheel that accommodates up to 32 filters. This provides the user with the best performance and speed but eliminates the hassle of changing filters. For absorbance assays the instrument features a spectrometer allowing the entire spectrum from 220-1000 nm to be acquired in <0.3 s per well, making optimisation of absorbance assays easy and simple.
