Our first event of the year, Research & Innovation 2016, was held at Trent Vineyard, Nottingham on 23rd March. In addition to the three tracks covering stem cell biology, synthetic biology and biopharmaeucticals there was also a new technology symposium on Mass Spectrometry.
Keynote speaker, Dr Stephen Ward of Cell Therapy Catapult kicked off the day with a fantastic presentation on Overcoming the Commercialisation Management Challenges for Cell and Gene Therapy. With over 200 delegates, 30 exhibitors and 29 poster delegates, the meeting was a great success . This year’s technology award went to LabLogic for their Multi-Technology Microplate Reader after being voted best technology for the second year by delegates, while Dr Marko Storch won the poster prize for his poster entitled, “Basic – A Novel DNA Assembly Method for Optimizing Pathways & Genetic Circuits.”
With many thanks to all the exhibitors, speakers and delegates who came along to make the day so enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you at one or more of ELRIG’s meetings during 2016. For more information see our events page by clicking here
