Our third Robotics & Automation event was hosted by Festo at their Automation Centre in Northampton, UK.

Around 100 delegates attended from across the automation industry and the feedback from delegates and exhibitors alike was very positive. Plenary keynote Julie Huxley-Jones of GlaxoSmithKline, kicked off the event with an insightful presentation on Eliminating the Dull, Dangerous and Dirty = Why a Global Automation Strategy is Critical for Successful Implementation. The focus on this year’s meeting was on the implementation of automation into different workflows including drug discover and the Robotic Scientists, formulation studies in consumer products with a presentation by Mark Baker, Unilever    and also included how the internet of things can bring benefits to automation labs.

The success of ELRIG’s meetings is very much dependant on the exhibitors, delegates and speakers, but we would also like to extend a huge thank you to conference directors Malcolm Crook (PAA), Paul Kendall (Festo) and Paul Harper (AtraZeneca) and to Festo themselves for being such fantastic hosts.

We look forward to seeing you at one or more of ELRIG UK’s other events .
