Bursaries
The British Pharmacology Society (BPS) & ELRIG are jointly running 2 training courses in 2021, where attendance normally costs up to £195 per place per course.
In support of one of our values, of being an inclusive organisation, a limited number of ELRIG bursaries are available to eligible Early Career Professionals, which will cover the course fee. To be eligible for a bursary you must …
- Be an ELRIG ECP community member, which is defined as either an undergraduate student or postgraduate student or first post-doctoral position or scientist that is just setting out on their industrial career path.
- Choose 1 course from the following 2 choices:
Pharmacology and Drug Discovery taking place on-line on 18th October 2021.
Or
Artificial Intelligence and Computational Drug Discovery taking place on-line on 21st October 2021.
- Complete the application form via the link at the bottom of the page. Before completing the form, please note that several questions that require long answers. We therefore advise you to complete the form off-line and then copy and paste your answers into the form before submitting.
To help you prepare, the long-answer questions are:

What does ELRIG’s Drug Discovery conference mean to you? Please write a maximum of 200 words.
Only 1 bursary will be awarded per person per research institute. The application process will close on Friday 3rd September, after which applications will be reviewed to check that the completed forms are satisfactory. The bursaries will then be selected at random, and the successful applicants will be notified the following week.
Places on the course are limited, and applying for an ELRIG bursary, does not guarantee you a place. To guarantee a place, book and pay for your attendance with the BPS directly.
