The Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Catalyst (IBIC), led by Prof Aline Miller, is hosting a free Innovation Lab workshop focused on developing animal-free in vitro models for toxicity testing .

They’re looking for industry partners from the North West (Manchester, Liverpool, and Cheshire) to get involved.

The hands-on session, taking place on the afternoon of Friday 01 May 2026, will match businesses with academic researchers to develop collaborative projects, with seed funding available for tangible ideas conceived on the day.
